Mostly played on a 6 ft X 12 ft table. Simple  yet  beautiful game, Sink a red, It stays down, Then sink a color, It comes back up on its spot.. When all the reds are sunk, You then sink the colors in order  Yellow, Green ,Brown, Blue, Pink and Black,, The reds are one point, Colors are , 2 ,3 ,,4 ,5 ,6 and ,7   Sinking all reds, With a black after each red, Then all colors  will give you the 147 in total., Now you know how to play,  Enjoy!  ;-)

What an amazing natural player . He doesn't even try it seems like. I saw him in another match where he didn't shot the last black for a 147 because he didn't think the prize was high enough and he had asked on his first shot of the break what the 147 was worth because he could already tell he was going to get it. It was only 5k or something and he was like WTF not worth my time. lol I believe his opponent convinced him to finally shot the black and he fired it at 100 mph lol amazing stuff!

When he shot the pink instead of the black at 6:03 I believe. Each ball has a point value. Red = 1, yellow = 2, green = 3, brown = 4, blue = 5, pink = 6, and black = 7. If he had instead shot for the black he would've scored 147.

Dunno why they call 147 a maximum anyway cos strictly speaking it is not the maximum possible break at all. If using "the maximum possible" is to be used properly.

+Jeff sullinger No it isnt, 155 is the highest possible "break" that doesnt include points for fouls and it has been done to by alex higgins just not on tv. Achieved by opponant doing a foul with all balls left on the table and leaving a free ball in the process. Take a colour as a red during that free ball first shot gives a break of 1, take the black as the colour gives a break of 8. All reds and blacks after this gives 147, added to the 8 already scored in the "break" gives 155 official break, not including the 4 given for the foul itself to begin with. Im just shocked with the standard of todays players on tv that it isnt happening for us to see on tv. Me doing it at my local hall every single week infront of a few people to show them, is getting to samey.

Because 147 is the highest score you can achieve in one break. A break does not count fouls so technically yes 147 is the maximum you can score in one break.
